Behavior: Peaceful and social, Rubber Ducky isopods thrive in groups and enjoy scavenging through their environment. They are not particularly active but are very fascinating to observe.
Compatible Tankmates: They can live peacefully with other non-aggressive invertebrates like other isopods and small, peaceful fish. Avoid larger, predatory species.
Husbandry: Keep in a humid, well-ventilated environment with temperatures between 70–75°F and humidity around 70–90%. It's essential to provide plenty of cork bark and leaf litter to mimic their natural habitat. A calcium supplement, such as cuttlebone, is necessary to ensure healthy exoskeleton growth.
Diet: Omnivorous; they consume decaying plant material, leaves, wood, and organic matter. When kept as pets, you can supplement their diet with fish flakes, dried fish, and Pangaea food.
