Pygmy corydoras are small, peaceful catfish that are perfect for a nano or planted tank. Their active scavenging nature makes them excellent at helping keep the substrate clean.

  • Appearance: Pygmy corydoras are small, with a maximum size of about 1 inch. They have a pale, light brown body with a black stripe running down each side.
  • Schooling Fish: Yes, they prefer to be kept in groups of 6 or more to reduce stress and encourage natural behavior.
  • Behavior: Peaceful and non-aggressive, they are active bottom-dwellers that will scavenge for food.
  • Compatible Tankmates: Great with other peaceful species like neon tetras, rasboras, and small shrimp. Avoid housing with large or aggressive fish.
