Orange Shrimp (Neocaridina sp.)

Orange shrimp are vibrant, hardy freshwater crustaceans with striking orange bodies. They are peaceful, social creatures that excel at keeping algae in check.

Appearance: These shrimp are bright orange and grow to around 1.5 inches in length.
Behavior: Peaceful and social, orange shrimp are excellent scavengers and thrive in groups.
Compatible Tankmates: Peaceful species like neon tetras, guppies, and small rasboras make great companions. Avoid larger or predatory fish.
Husbandry: Keep in stable water conditions with temperature between 68–78°F, pH of 6.5–8.0, and hardness of 6–10 dGH. Provide hiding spaces with plants and driftwood.
Diet: Omnivorous; feeds on algae, organic debris, and high-quality shrimp food.
