Magic potions isopods are an eye-catching and colorful species with unique patterns. They are perfect for bioactive setups or as pets for collectors.
Level of Difficulty: Intermediate
Appearance: These isopods have a mix of colors, including blue, orange, and brown hues. They grow up to 1 inch in size.
Behavior: Peaceful and social, magic potions isopods thrive in groups. They help break down organic matter in terrariums.
Husbandry: Require plenty of cork and leaf litter. Maintain a moist environment with temperatures around 70–75°F. Humidity should be high (70–90%). Provide leaf litter, bark, and decaying wood for substrate. They love staying in soil instead of underneath of cork.
Diet: Feeds on decaying organic material such as leaves and wood. But can also be fed additional food if kept as pet, such as fish flakes, dried fish, Pangaea food and more. Also need calcium supplements such as cuttlebone, is necessary to ensure healthy exoskeleton growth.
