Female leopard geckos are slightly smaller but just as easygoing and colorful as males. Their docile temperament makes them a joy to care for.
- Level of Difficulty: Beginner
- Appearance: Females are 6–8 inches long and have a more slender build, with the same beautiful spotted patterns.
- Husbandry: Requires a horizontal enclosure (minimum 20 gallons) with a warm side of 85–90°F, a cool side around 75°F, and a humid hide for shedding. Substrate should be non-loose, such as reptile carpet or tiles. Requires a laying bin.
- Diet: Insectivorous; feeds on crickets, mealworms, and dubia roaches. Dust feeders with calcium and vitamin supplements regularly.
