A tiny marvel of nature, male leaf chameleons are expertly camouflaged and resemble dried leaves. Their compact size and fascinating behavior make them unique additions to bioactive enclosures.
- Level of Difficulty: Advanced (due to small size and specific care needs)
- Appearance: Males are slightly more colorful and larger than females, averaging 3–4 inches. Their leaf-like appearance includes intricate patterns and earthy hues of brown, tan, and green.
- Husbandry: Requires a bioactive terrarium (minimum 12”x12”x18”) with plenty of leaf litter, branches, and live plants. Temperatures should be 72–80°F with a nighttime drop to 65°F. Humidity must be high, around 70–90%, maintained through misting and substrate moisture. UVB lighting is necessary.
