  • Level of Difficulty: Beginner to Intermediate
  • Appearance: Jumping spiders are small, typically ranging from 0.5 to 1 inch in size. They have large, forward-facing eyes, which give them excellent vision, and are often marked with bright colors, including iridescent blues, reds, and oranges, depending on the species.
  • Behavior: They are curious and active hunters, using their powerful jumping ability to capture prey. Jumping spiders are solitary and non-aggressive toward humans, though they may display defensive postures if threatened.
  • Compatible Tankmates: Best kept alone or with other non-aggressive arthropods. Avoid housing with other species of spiders or large invertebrates that may outcompete them for food.
