Male crested geckos are curious and active climbers, known for their "eyelash" ridges and soft, velvety skin. They thrive in bioactive or naturalistic setups and are ideal for beginner to intermediate keepers.
Level of Difficulty: Beginner to Intermediate
Appearance: Males are 8–10 inches long with a wide range of colors and patterns, including harlequin, flame, and dalmatian morphs.
Husbandry: Requires a vertical enclosure (minimum 18”x18”x24”) with branches, hides, and live plants. Humidity should range from 60–80%, with temperatures between 70–78°F. No UVB is necessary but can be beneficial.
Diet: Omnivorous; primarily fed on commercial crested gecko diet supplemented with occasional live insects like small crickets.
