Female crested geckos are just as enchanting, with a calmer demeanor and a slightly smaller build. Their striking appearance and ease of care make them popular pets.
Level of Difficulty: Beginner to Intermediate
Appearance: Females are 7–9 inches long with similar coloration and pattern varieties as males.
Husbandry: Requires a vertical enclosure (minimum 18”x18”x24”) with branches, hides, and live plants. Humidity should range from 60–80%, with temperatures between 70–78°F. No UVB is necessary but can be beneficial.
Diet: Omnivorous; primarily fed on commercial crested gecko diet supplemented with occasional live insects like small crickets.
