Blue Dream Shrimp (Neocaridina davidi)

Blue Dream shrimp are a striking and popular color morph of the Neocaridina davidi species. Known for their brilliant blue hue, these shrimp are perfect for adding a splash of color to your aquarium while also helping to keep it clean by consuming algae and detritus.

Appearance: These shrimp have vibrant blue bodies and grow up to 1.5 inches in length. The blue color can vary in intensity depending on water quality and diet.
Behavior: Peaceful and social, Blue Dream shrimp do well in groups and are excellent scavengers. They interact calmly with other peaceful tankmates.
Compatible Tankmates: Great with peaceful species like small tetras, rasboras, and guppies. Avoid larger or predatory fish.
Husbandry: They thrive in stable water conditions with a temperature range of 68–78°F, a pH of 6.5–8.0, and hardness of 6–10 dGH. Ensure there are plenty of hiding spots in the tank and live plants for them to feel secure.
Diet: Omnivorous; feeds on algae, biofilm, and high-quality shrimp food.
