Bearded Dragon - Females

Female bearded dragons are just as charming and friendly as their male counterparts but tend to be slightly smaller and less territorial.
Level of Difficulty: Beginner
Appearance: Females are 16–20 inches long and have more subtle coloration than males, often displaying soft orange or beige tones.
Husbandry: Requires a horizontal enclosure (minimum 36”x18”x18”) with UVB lighting, a basking spot of 95–105°F, and a cool side around 75°F. Substrate options include reptile carpet or non-loose material to prevent impaction. Requires a laying bin.
Diet: Omnivorous; eats a mix of leafy greens, vegetables, and live insects like dubia roaches and crickets. Calcium supplementation is essential.
