Female guppies are less colorful but larger and more robust. They are peaceful, social, and a great addition to community tanks.

  • Appearance: Females are 2–2.5 inches long with subtler coloration, typically silver or pale tones.
  • Schooling Fish: Same as males, prefer being in groups of at least 6 for social comfort. However, if paired with females they will breed easily and very quickly as they do not lay eggs but give birth to live babies.
  • Behavior: Peaceful and easygoing, with no notable aggressive tendencies.
  • Compatible Tankmates: Same as males; they pair well with other peaceful community fish.
  • Husbandry: Identical to males, requiring a well-maintained tank with proper water parameters.
