Anubias Nana is a popular, hardy aquarium plant known for its thick, dark green leaves and slow-growing nature. It is an excellent choice for both beginners and experienced aquarists due to its tolerance of a variety of conditions, including low light and fluctuating water parameters.

  • Appearance: Anubias Nana has oval-shaped, dark green leaves with a smooth texture. It grows up to 6–8 inches in height and can spread horizontally.
  • Behavior: This plant thrives in aquariums with low to moderate lighting. It can be attached to rocks or driftwood, making it perfect for aquascaping.
  • Husbandry: Anubias Nana prefers temperatures between 72–82°F and a pH of 6.5–7.5. It does not require a nutrient-rich substrate but benefits from occasional dosing of liquid fertilizers. Keep in mind that it grows slowly, so it requires minimal pruning.
